Long before Marvel movies were everywhere, Kevin was known to millions around the world as Hercules. The hit series Hercules was beloved in 176 countries, surpassing even Baywatch as the most watched TV show on the planet.
A conservative Christian shunned by Hollywood, Kevin formed Sorbo Studios which has produced some critically acclaimed movies including God’s Not Dead and Miracle in East Texas, with many more on the way.

Changing The Path You Tread
One of the defining moments for Kevin in his self-reboot was a near-fatal brain aneurysm he had in the 90s while doing publicity for his movie Call The Conquerer. “It took me three years to fully recover from it.” Kevin notes, that it “redirected my life to want to do movies that really had a positive impact on people”. Kevin also notes that this experience has taught him to be more patient in his life, that reminder that our lives are relatively short in the grand scheme has helped him focus on the projects he truly believes in.
The Future Of Christian Movies
We asked Kevin about what sort of trends he is seeing in the movie industry, and those of you who enjoy Christian movies are in luck as he believes they are trending upward in popularity. He believes that, especially in the post-COVID-19 space we are in, people are “hungry for hope. They’re hungry for something that will make them find a positive avenue in their life”. One of those ways you can locate those avenues is through the multitude of movies and books Kevin has released and written, all intending to spread positivity, even to those who are agnostic or atheists.
A Message To Young Actors, Influencers And Media Types
Curious enough the advice that Kevin has for young actors, can also be applied to those of you entering the world of business. Whether you are looking for a job, an entrepreneur looking to start your dream business, or an actor looking to make it big, some advice for you is “The competition is pretty stiff and you just got to be ready for it. Do it because you love it.” This is just one of the many nuggets of wisdom Kevin had for those trying to break into a difficult field.
